🐝 Beekeeping 301: Hive Inspection & Honey Harvest 🐝
Scott Family Farm – Children’s Class (Elementary)
Join us for the exciting final class in our Beekeeping Series! Beekeeping 301 is a hands-on, real-life experience where students step into the role of a beekeeper and work directly with a live hive.
In this one-hour class, students will suit up in real bee suits and safely open a hive to observe the inner workings of a bee colony. Guided by an experienced instructor, they will learn how to inspect for brood (baby bees), identify stored honey, and recognize the signs of a healthy, thriving hive. If conditions allow, we may even harvest fresh honey straight from the hive!
Beyond the excitement, students will gain a deeper understanding of the weekly responsibilities of caring for bees and why bees are essential to our food system and environment.
