Lab 04 - Butterfly Garden, Hydrogeology & Art - In this lab students will learn the favorite plant of the Monarch Butterfly and why it is so important to be on the lookout for these sojourner's! Each participant will plant their own butterfly bush to help nourish our native butterflies!

Join us in this lab as we continue to learn about "shape shifters" in nature - the Monarch Butterfly! We have now added 2 more Earth Day topics at no additional charge!


  1. We will study the lifecycle of butterflies and discuss the long journey of the Majestic Monarch. In addition, we will discuss which Milkweed plants are native to Georgia and plant our own butterfly bush to feed native butterflies of all types!

  2. Hydrogeology: Hydrogeology is the study of the laws governing the movement of subterranean water, the mechanical, chemical, & thermal interaction of this water with the porous solid, & the transport of energy, chemical constituents, & particulate matter by flow

  3. Earthy Art - you will enjoy this fun surprise art class filled with hands-on activities.

Light refreshments will be served.
