About the event
This class is for students ages 7-16
You must bring a tshirt in your students’ size (preferably white or a very light color).
In this hands-on creative class, students will explore the beauty of nature through botanical hammering — a fun technique that uses real flowers and leaves to create colorful prints on fabric.
We’ll begin with a guided forage walk to safely gather fresh blooms and interesting foliage, learning how to identify plants and harvest responsibly.
Back in the workshop, students will arrange their natural finds on white T-shirts and gently hammer the plants to release their natural pigments, permanently imprinting unique designs into the fabric.
Each student will leave with a one-of-a-kind wearable piece of art and a deeper appreciation for the colors and patterns found in nature.
