À propos de l'événement

Join us for an Introductory Sign Language class which will offer an introduction to non-verbal communication.

The alphabet, numbers, vocabulary words, and simple phrases will be introduced through interactive practice drills, games, and handout materials.

Students will learn very basic communication skills and will learn how to use sign language for self-expression using their hands, space placement, movement, palm orientation, body language, and facial expressions.

Students will have the opportunity to learn through interactive participation - learning signs, playing games, and creating materials to reinforce the learning. Students will concentrate on fingerspelling and vocabulary words during the four week session.

Feb 3rd: WEEK 1: Alphabet, numbers 1-20, and finger spelling

Feb 10th: WEEK 2: Family vocabulary, pronoun vocabulary, emotions, intentions, and core vocabulary
