This week, our Creative Math Lab becomes a cartographer's workshop as students discover the mathematics hidden inside maps, treasure hunts, castles, islands, and secret locations.

We'll begin with a mysterious treasure map divided into a grid. Students will learn how coordinates give us a mathematical address for a location. Instead of simply practicing coordinates on a worksheet, they'll use them to locate hidden treasure, dangerous dragons, castle gates, mysterious caves, ships, and other landmarks.
